Developing and Testing Innovative Care Pathways for Screening and Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder and PTSD in Jails

Role on Project: CPT Expert Consultant

Granting Agency:  National Institute on Drug Abuse

Major Goals:  This the first trial to test an integrated model of screening and treatment for PTSD among incarcerated individuals who are eligible for opioid use disorder (OUD) services.

Effectiveness, Implementation, and Cost of Cognitive Processing Therapy in Prison

Role on Project: CPT Expert Consultant

Granting Agency:  National Institute on Drug Abuse

Major Goals:  This grant is a multi-site study (10 sites across 5 states) will examine both implementation outcomes and barriers to providing Cognitive Processing Therapy in prisons. 

Randomized Controlled Effectiveness Trial of VA S.A.V.E. Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training for Veterans’ Close Supports

Granting Agency:  Department of Veterans Affairs Health Services Research & Development​

Major Goals:  This  hybrid type 1 effectiveness-implementation trial of VA S.A.V.E. will use a targeted social media campaign to recruit close supports likely to have interactions with Veterans at risk of suicide, with added measures to reach BIPOC and low-income communities.

Personalizing Cognitive Processing Therapy with a Case Formulation Approach to Intentionally Target Impairment in Psychosocial Functioning Associated with PTSD

Major Goals:  This RCT seeks to evaluate the benefit of integrating a case formulation approach to an evidence-based therapy for PTSD, namely Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). CF+CPT will be compared to traditional CPT on the primary outcomes of functioning, well-being, PTSD, and depression.
